Understand It is a new e-learning platform specialising in accounting training for students and bookkeepers. They offer a variety of basic and advanced online courses, some of which are Sage accredited. We helped them to build a functioning brand around their existing training material starting with a colour palette and a new logo.
The logo follows a simple idea, which is a lightbulb switching on to signify that something makes sense. This imagery is directly related to the goals of Understand It, chiefly that it demystifies accounting principles by breaking them down into logical steps.
We created a simple logo reveal to show off the new logo. The style emphasises the process of understanding, building up from basic lines into an outline and then being coloured in to complete the final product.
The icons above were created as part of the user experience for the website to aid in understanding the benefits of the service.
To help with branding we created some simple business cards, email signatures and business letterheads.
All of graphic design and branding elements in the corporate identity kit were collected into a brief document which explains the usage and applications for each element. It also details what fonts to use, has extensive colour code information for consistent reproduction work and the document itself is a template for brochures and textbooks.
